The Final Countdown

Hello, all. Long time no blog. Sorry, but that's what I get for turning off the cable (and thus the Internet).

In two days, we open "Zorro" with our first performance. One week from Friday is my final day in the Radio business (for now anyway). One week from Saturday we close "Zorro" with our first performance (theatre is so short lived). Also Saturday the 5th, Ella and I (with an assist from the parents) are moving out of our house. Two weeks from today our power gets turned off and two weeks from Wednesday we fly to Germany.

Let's just say we've got a few things on our schedule. But you want to know the thing I'm most excited about?

Tonight, we'll get the first new "Heroes" in seven weeks.

That's right, I'm flying to Europe for a month and moving to New Orleans for the foreseeable future, and the thing that really has me jazzed is a new episode of a TV show about superheroes. I may be a big ole' geek, but I'm about to be a very happy big ole' geek.

In other news all of our travel arrangements have now been made and all that remains is for us to actually go on this little excursion. Oh, and pack. Incidentally, you have no idea exactly how much crap you have until host not one but two garage sales, make over three hundred dollars off the junk you don't want anymore and still need two truckloads to take the rest of it away to Goodwill. Now I'm thinking about all the new stuff we need and all the room we have for ti now. Consumerism, I am your slave.

We've only got two weeks in Ruston, which means that Ella and I are trying to breathe it in as much as we can. We're going to our favorite restaurants, taking some long delayed pictures of our favorite places, and generally trying to pry the smiles off our faces (I have a feeling that won't be a problem when we start loading the truck with our furniture.

Again I apologize for the scarcity of my posts lately (truthfully, the non-existence of my posts lately) and I'll try to do better in the next couple of weeks. Until I talk to you again, enjoy "Heroes" and remember, "Vote Petrelli!"

Well, that's alot of topics in that blog. First, I'll be at the performance of Zorro next Wednesday, so I'm glad I'll get to see you before you leave Ruston. I hope I'll get to see Ella too. On the Heroes note, I waited like a giggly school girl for it to finally come on last night, but I also waited til it was over to watch it so that I could fast forward through the commercials. All I can say is that it was well worth the wait. I love Heroes. As for your impending trip, I know you will both have a great time. Drink a couple for me, and let us all know how life is overseas when you return.
